Going Through

One of the things I love about the Reform Judaism prayer book, Mishkan T’Filah, are the alternative readings presented side-by-side with traditional prayers. My Rabbi recently read this Adrienne Rich poem, which appears in the section of morning prayers. It has stayed with me as I wonder what is”the risk of remembering your name?” and reflect on how often choices seem more momentous or irrevocable than they turn out to be.
